Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage

The Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage established in 1975 as place for shelter and care the wounded elephants and abandoned baby elephants found in jungle. It is currently home to a herd of over 90 elephants. Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is the best place for an up close and personal experience with the world’s largest land mammals! Today, Pinnawala has become the home to the largest captive group of elephants in the world.

Peradeniya Botanical Garden

Then you will be visiting the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya. Enjoy the over 4,000 species of plants that are on display in these gardens which were once exclusively reserved for use by Kandyan Royalty.

Temple of Tooth Relic

The Sri Dalada Maligawa or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a temple in the city of Kandy in Sri Lanka. It was built within the royal palace complex which houses the one of the two surviving relic of the tooth of Buddha, an object of veneration for Buddhists. The Sacred Tooth Relic of The Buddha, is possibly the most sacred Buddhist shrine in the world. It is venerated not only by Buddhists in Sri Lanka but by Buddhists all over the world.
